Welcome! I’m a Devon based artist dedicated to capturing life’s essence in every piece I create. My work is a vivid journey through the layers of life I’ve lived and the countless worlds I’ve encountered.
Using a variety of mediums, I explore the natural world, from flora and fauna to the human experience. My creative practice is as eclectic as a magpie’s nest. Weaving together influences from various places I’ve lived and experienced. My art is a celebration of the world around me.
I have a diverse creative practice. Previous work included mosaic, stained glass panels, and large coil built pots. I have run community art projects and have taught art for many years.
My current practice is divided into two distinct areas. The first being hyper-realistic sketches which I enjoy as a meditative process. The second is using print, paint and collage to simplify images through shape, colour, and line. This process excites me, allowing me to layer colour and texture. It’s a fluid process to create the desired result.
